Recruiting: Policy and Research Officer for Stewart Dickson MLA

Stewart Dickson MLA, is seeking to appoint an experienced officer capable of providing support on all matters relating to NI Assembly business. In addition, the incumbent will work with other team members to facilitate external communications, and to provide a quality administrative and customer-focused information facility to ensure the efficient operation of his East Antrim Constituency service.

Report to: Stewart Dickson MLA & Noel Williams, Head of Ops

Office Location: Parliament Buildings, Stormont, BT4 3XX and Constituency Office at 8 West Street, Carrickfergus, BT38 7AR

Hours: 37 hours per week, Monday – Friday.

Holidays: As per determination

Salary: £30,282 per annum (Grade 2) as per determination.

Pension: A central NI Assembly-approved pension scheme is provided. If enrolled an amount equivalent to 10% of employees salary will be paid into the pension scheme.

Duration: Permanent Contract from October 2021. Employment contingent upon member remaining an MLA or until legislation is introduced to change Constituency expense provision. Six-month probation period shall apply.
