Minister's Answer

The Cycling Proficiency Scheme was delivered in 314 schools in 2022/23. There was a drop in numbers in 2023/24 to 150 schools due largely to a reduction in funding available for the scheme. I have recently confirmed that the scheme will be funded in 2024/25 and I’m pleased to say that to date 258 schools have indicated their intention to offer the scheme to their pupils this year.
