PEACEPLUS funding calls are now open!
The Special EU Programmes Body (SEUPB) is delighted to announce that PEACEPLUS funding calls are now open!
PEACEPLUS is a new, ambitious cross-border funding programme totaling €1.1bn and is a partnership between the European Union, the Governments of the United Kingdom and Ireland, and the Northern Ireland Executive. It is managed by SEUPB. PEACEPLUS will continue to provide investment to Northern Ireland and the border counties of Ireland to protect stability, drive prosperity, and support peace.
The seven funding calls for the PEACEPLUS Programme which have opened today are detailed below. All the information is now available on the PEACEPLUS website. Application support and guidance for completing an application is available here.
Theme 1 – Building Peaceful and Thriving Communities

Investment Are 1.4 Reimaging Communities
This is a programme of transformative reimaging projects, which will create new shared spaces for use by all communities; or increase the shared usage of existing facilities. It will result in an increased number of individuals and groups utilising shared spaces and accessing shared services.
Theme 3 – Empowering and Investing in Our Young People
Investment Area 3.1 Shared Learning together Education Programme (Formal Education)
The education together of those from diverse communities, including reasonable numbers of both Protestant and Catholic children or young persons; including those who are experiencing socio-economic deprivation and those who are not; pupils and young people whose learning experience can be enhanced through additional supports, which is secured by the working together; and co-operation of two or more relevant education providers (formal and non-formal).
Theme 3 – Empowering and Investing in Our Young People
Investment Area 3.1 Shared Learning together Education Programme (Non-Formal Education)

This investment area is targeted capacity building programme for young people aged 14 to 24 years, who are disadvantaged, excluded or marginalised, have deep social and emotional needs and are at risk of becoming involved in anti-social behaviour, violence or paramilitary activity.
Theme 3 – Empowering and Investing in Our Young People
Investment Area 3.2 PEACEPLUS youth Programme (Quality and Impact Body)
This investment area is targeted capacity building programme for young people aged 14 to 24 years, who are disadvantaged, excluded or marginalised, have deep social and emotional needs and are at risk of becoming involved in anti-social behaviour, violence or paramilitary activity.
Theme 4 - Healthy and Inclusive Communities
Investment Area 4.3 Victims and Survivors
In recognition of the needs of those who have suffered from the trauma of the troubles/conflict, the programme will develop the capacity for services to meet the needs of victims and survivors.
