Local Road Scheme Welcome – Dickson

East Antrim Alliance MLA, Stewart Dickson, has said that a £275,000 resurfacing scheme of the Carrickfergus Road, Larne, will bring a welcome improvement to safety and road quality for local residents.

Mr Dickson commented: “The Carrickfergus Road, which runs from the Ballysnod Road junction to the Carnduff Road, is a rural but an important route for local people.

“In recent years, it has been in a poor state, and I welcome news from the Department for Infrastructure of this considerable resurfacing scheme. The Department informs me that works have been planned to minimise disruption to road users, but it is advised to allow for extra time for journeys.”
