International Tourism Events Funding Programme 2023/24 Now Open
Tourism NI’s International Tourism Events Fund for 2023/24 is now open. The programme is designed to support home grown international tourism events occurring between 1 April 2023 and 31 March 2024. Stage One: all applicants wishing to apply to the International Tourism Events Fund MUST meet with a member of the Tourism NI Events Team. Please contact the team at eventsunit@tourismni.com asap to arrange the meeting, which must be held by 28 October 2022. Events will not be able to progress to Stage Two: Full Application without having held this meeting. Please note the minimum criteria to apply to scheme:
Must achieve 5,000 visitors
Must have a minimum income and expenditure of £150,000
Must attract a significant number of international visitors and deliver appropriate international marketing to deliver on these numbers
Must have a minimum economic return of 5:1
Must occur on consecutive days with no break in days.
Please note: Information on the National Tourism Events Sponsorship Scheme 2023/24 will be communicated soon. The parameters for this scheme will be:
Event must take place between 1 April 2023 and 31 March 2024
Must achieve a minimum of 1,000 in person visitors
Must have a minimum income and expenditure of £50,000
Must deliver a high-quality experience that is distinct to Northern Ireland and align with the Embrace a Giant Spirit Brand
Deliver appropriate marketing activity to target key visitor segments
Must occur on consecutive days with no break in days.
Must be able to demonstrate the clear and measurable value of the sponsorship award.
Funding award bands: A: £10,000 B: £20,000 C: £30,000
