Dickson Welcomes Answer from Justice Minister on Paramilitary Activity

East Antrim Alliance MLA, Stewart Dickson, has welcomed the Justice Minister’s response to an Assembly Question, where she outlines the action being taken to tackle paramilitarism in Northern Ireland.

Mr Dickson commented: “I welcome the Minister’s confirmation that she is reviewing the public consultation on organised crime offences and sentencing for paramilitarism.

“Furthermore, I believe the Minister’s approach of building community confidence, embedding a culture of lawfulness, and engaging with communities is vital. I hope that going forward we will continue to see a building of the positive impact of such initiatives in tackling paramilitaries, especially in East Antrim.”
