Dickson Praises Translink’s Late-Night Festive Travel Package This Christmas

East Antrim Alliance MLA, Stewart Dickson, his delighted to hear that Translink will be putting on additional late-night services in December to ensure people can access Christmas festivities in Belfast and Derry.

Mr Dickson said: “From Friday 2nd December, additional late-night Translink services will make it easier for people to use public transport over the festive period”.

Late-night services will be operational on Metro, Goldliner, Urby, and train services across the network, whilst Foyle Metro will also be operating late night services in Derry on selected routes.

Mr Dickson said: “This Christmas will be a lot more ‘normal’ than the last few we have experienced. With that in mind, I am delighted that Translink will be operating these late-night services so that we can all make the most of our city centres during the month of December.

“There is clear public interest in these later services, and with more passengers travelling this Christmas, it is likely that we will need to look at further development of late-night services - and the funding that will be needed to sustain them – on an all year round basis”.
