Dickson Congratulates Ulster University on League Table Success

East Antrim Alliance MLA, Stewart Dickson, has congratulated Ulster University on its success in the latest Times University rankings, and being shortlisted for ‘University of the Year’.

This year Ulster University was shortlisted for The Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide: ‘University of the Year’, as well as rising in the rankings to 44th amongst UK institutions.

Reacting to the news Mr Dickson said: “Ulster University makes a massive contribution to the Northern Ireland economy and society, and it is wonderful to see its excellence recognised nationally by the Good University Guide. It is particularly impressive that this is the first year that Ulster University has been amongst the top 50 UK institutions.

“Credit goes to the Vice Chancellor, faculty and management at the university, as well as the students for this excellent achievement. It has of course been a very challenging 18 months due to Covid-19 for universities, but I am confident that we will only see greater success in the future for the institution.”
