Dickson Celebrates the Creation of 300 New Jobs at Wrightbus

East Antrim Alliance MLA, Stewart Dickson, has welcomed the creation of 300 new permanent jobs at Wrightbus.

Mr Dickson said: “I was delighted to hear that the company’s zero emission buses are in such high demand, to warrant so many new recruits. It will mean that once the positions have been filled, Wrightbus will employ around 930 individuals on a permanent basis.

“Not only is this excellent news for the recruits themselves, and to the Northern Irish economy more generally, but the growth of companies like Wrightbus reflects how our infrastructure networks are increasingly thinking green.”

Mr Dickson concluded by saying: “Wrightbus developed the world’s first hydrogen double decker bus, and manufactures market-leading electric double decker buses. It is clearly a very innovative and environmentally conscious outfit, so to welcome and congratulate their success is a privilege.”
