Carrickfergus Christmas lights switch on will be taking place on 25th November 2023.

Castle Street, High Street, North Street and West Street, Carrickfergus, will be closed to traffic on Saturday 25 November, 10am – 7pm approximately to accommodate for this.

The running order for the day is as follows:

1.30pm – Artisan market opens (High St Car park)

2pm – Street entertainment, face painting, Christmas carnival games, kiddies fun fair, balloon modelling and meet Santa’s reindeer.

4pm – 5pm – Civic carol service, St Nicholas Church

5.30pm (approx.) – Lights switch on by Mayor Alderman Gerardine Mulvenna

5.45pm – 6pm (approx.) – Fireworks from Fisherman’s Quay (weather dependent)
