To ask the Minister of Finance, pursuant to AQW 19173/17-22, to detail the support his Department provides in regards to cybersecurity for Department-specific business IT applications.

Answer: Department of Finance’s Construction & Procurement Delivery (CPD) business area assist NICS Departments in procuring cyber resilient applications through the provision of detailed security schedules within their tender documentation and specifications.

Departments are responsible for funding and implementing their business IT applications. This includes ensuring that cybersecurity is embedded within their solutions and implementing appropriate governance arrangements.
