To ask the Minister of Finance to detail the reasons for the delay in the payment of Northern Ireland Civil Service Pensions for the month of May 2021.

Answer: The delay in payment was due to an administrative error concerning the processing date. Unfortunately with the 31 May 2021 being a bank holiday this resulted in pensions not credited to bank accounts on 28 May 2021 as expected. All payments were made by 1 June 2021.
