To ask the Minister of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs pursuant to AQW 18230/17-22, whether his Department has any initial estimates for the compensation that may be due to contractors.

Answer: Further to AQW 18230/17-22, DAERA can confirm that the formal review process for compensation claims is ongoing for quotations received to date, but have not been formally issued with any verified costs. Until all claims have been submitted by contractors and reviewed by the Project Manager in accordance with the contract, the cost to the Department cannot be confirmed. Further clarity can be provided when the compensation claims are received, assessed and any adjudication process completed.
