To ask the Minister for the Economy to detail the number of Covid Restrictions Business Support Scheme appeals (i) submitted; and (ii) that have been successful.

Answer: The Covid Restrictions Business Support Scheme (Part A & B) has received a total of 8,415 applications. From this 251 have progressed to appeal as at 26 April 2021.

Invest NI considers each appeal on its individual merit and endeavours to resolve each in a timely manner. Most appeals relate to eligibility as per the Scheme Guidance, insufficient evidence supplied with original application, late applications, and grant amount awarded.
