Question: To ask the Minister for the Economy whether businesses that are permitted to reopen and resume trading following the lifting of some COVID-19 restrictions but choose to remain closed, will automatically receive support from the Covid Restrictions Business Support Scheme.

Answer: The Covid Restrictions Business Support Scheme has been introduced to provide financial support to businesses affected by the Health Protection Regulations. The support is available to affected businesses for the duration of the restrictions. As such, the scheme does not apply to periods outside of the restrictions.
