Dickson Encourages Local Groups Affected by Covid-19 to Apply for Lottery Heritage Fund

East Antrim MLA, Stewart Dickson, has encouraged local heritage organisations to apply to the National Lottery Heritage Emergency Fund, which is offering two strands of grants with support ranging from £3,000 to £250,000.

Mr Dickson commented: “Heritage organisations are vital to our social and economic lives, attracting not only visitors but also working in our community to keep alive our history and heritage. This is a difficult time for such organisations as revenue has fallen due to Covid-19 restrictions, falling donations and visitors.

“The National Lottery Heritage Fund provides support to fund emergency costs, maintain operations and the risks to heritage that the current situation presents, as well as looking towards recovery. Therefore, I would strongly encourage local groups to apply if they are eligible.”
