Dickson Welcomes Proposed New Social Housing Site at Joymount, Carrickfergus

Alliance East Antrim MLA, Stewart Dickson, has welcomed the Public Consultation and potential future planning application for a mixture of special needs and social housing development, proposed by Clanmil Housing Association, on the site of the old Woodside’s Supermarket, at Joymount Carrickfergus.

Mr Dickson said: “Nearly 50 new homes will be built in this exciting new development. The highly anticipated, and very attractive looking construction, will hopefully begin in Spring 2017.

“I commend Clanmil Housing Association on their excellent consultation with the community to date. I also trust that Mid & East Antrim Council Planners and Elected Representatives will ensure that this much needed facility becomes a reality”.
